"I have had many of the false views of Catholicism myself. I learned a great deal from this book. As a protestant it makes me want to learn more. I want to be a part of a church as close to the original church as possible."

"As a Protestant / or maybe just a follower of Jesus who now knows the Eucharist is not just a symbol but isn’t sure where to go next, this book was a blessing. I am not a big reader of anything but my Bible, but I could not put this book down. What a writer! What a gift. And boy do I see myself in a lot of this. Not sure where I will end up church wise but thank you for being so open and honest and shedding light of some things."

"This is an outstanding book, a moving story of a young woman seeking the truth at any cost. It is also a raw, honest look into marriage and relationships, and I appreciated the author’s vulnearability. I think her story will help a lot of people who are considering becoming Catholic, or even considering changing religions in general. The book presents solid reasoning for the author’s conversion, while never getting preachy. The author readily admits her resistance to conversion and how this resistance affected her relationships. I will definitely revisit this book and recommend it to others. Although I read it as a Catholic, the book served as a reaffirmation of my own faith, and a testament to the power and mercy of God."

"I picked up this book with the intention of truly hearing out an author who journeyed from Protestantism to Catholicism, and I’m genuinely glad I did. What initially drew me in was her background in science and her interest in fitness—both gave her perspective a grounded, disciplined, and thoughtful tone that immediately intrigued me.What stood out most was how respectful her approach was. Rather than dismissing other traditions, she carefully invited the reader into her process, backing her conclusions with a deep dive into history, Scripture, and early Christian practices. The historical context added depth and clarity, helping me see familiar passages in a completely new light. Most unexpectedly, this was the first time I have ever cried while reading Scripture. The way she connected theology, history, and personal transformation made the Word feel alive and deeply personal. Even where I didn’t fully agree, I appreciated the honesty, reverence, and care woven throughout the book."

"There is no greater witness to the Catholic faith than someone who is a convert to the Catholic faith. Sometimes, cradle Catholics get lost in the transitions between childhood and adulthood and eventually come back to their Catholic roots as they mature, but this book is for both Catholics wanting to learn more about their faith and why it should be important to them and for Protestants who love Jesus and their Bible and have Ellie lay out her journey to embracing the faith. Protestants and Catholics have a unifying factor, their love of Jesus. However, Ellie uncovers the truth of the Catholic faith that challenges all Christians in a non-threatening way. If you want to bolster your faith, regardless of your denomination, you won't be disappointed to read how a person who was raised in an anti-Catholic environment came to be Catholic."

"I bought this book to support Ellie, unsure of how quickly I’d be able to read it. After i started the introduction, I could not put it down! I’ve told a lot of people how inspiring and impactful it has been for me and even bought a couple friends a copy. As a “Protestant” without much exposure to the Catholic Church, I found every bit of Ellie’s story fascinating and this book has opened my eyes to many ancient mysteries of our faith that are alive and powerful today. It has given me so much to think about and pray about. Also Ellie is just a really good writer and it’s a very easy to just keep reading. Highly recommend to any Christian at all!"
